Church in the Woods offers a variety of settings for your perfect ceremony and reception, located just south of Portland in beautiful Lake Oswego. An exceptional panoramic view of Lake Oswego's namesake provides a truly inspirational background for your ceremony. The sweeping views ensure it is one of Oregon's most romantic places to get married. The enchanted garden, surrounded by nature, complete with a soothing water pond, offers a serene intimacy. The garden is screened by a cadre of trees, creating a natural canopy over the manicured lawn. A lovely rose garden with a three-tiered fountain graces our grounds between the lake view and garden settings. The roses, 75 in number, are lovingly attended to by our master gardener. For the bride and groom who want a church wedding, our chapel can be decorated to your liking and comes with a grand piano (small use fee), excellent sound system, and silk floral arrangements. As Oregonians, we appreciate the beautiful green grass and trees the rain provides. Church in the Woods has the wonderful and practical benefit of an indoor sanctuary in case of rain. If you have scheduled an outdoor wedding and Mother Nature has other plans, don't worry! We can move your ceremony indoors, or, you may rent a tent.
