Start with the feeling, not the floor plan
Before comparing square footage and rental hours, decide how you want the day to feel. A candlelit dinner in an intimate room creates a different experience than an airy garden ceremony or an energetic downtown reception.

Choose the guest experience
- How far will guests travel between ceremony and reception?
- Is parking, rideshare or transportation easy?
- Are restrooms, climate control and accessibility appropriate for your group?
- Is there a comfortable rain plan for an outdoor celebration?
- Will older guests and families with children feel comfortable throughout the event?
Compare what is actually included
A lower venue fee is not always a lower total cost. One venue may include tables, chairs, getting-ready spaces, staffing and cleanup while another requires you to rent or hire each item separately.
